Fun, fun, fun! These Ladies were fast! Everyone seemed to have a blast, and everyones turned out different and unique! I believe we will have to do this again.

*NEW CLASSES - The Jelly Roll Race on February 4th was a blast! We’ll get some pictures posted soon. Chris was the winner of a $50 gift certificate to The Quilt Nest. After she was sure of her lead she shared her technique of feeding the strips through her sewing machine. Then her bobbin shut her down for a bit, but she still managed to finish first in 50 minutes! We’re thinking of holding another race in March or April, so if you’d like to create a generous size lap quilt in less than an hour, call and sign up. We just need 8 racers! All you need is a jelly roll of forty 2 1/2″ strips, your sewing maching, thread and a couple of extra bobbins. Once the race starts you don’t want to run out of thread… in the machine or your bobbin! There is a $10 teacher’s fee, PLUS you get a discount on the purchase of your jelly roll that is needed for this class. Call the store to sign up (360.274-4663) or come in. You have to pay the $10 class fee when you sign up in order to guarantee your spot in the race. Supplies needed for the race: jelly roll of 2.5″ strips, sewing machine and general sewing supplies, rotary cutter, ruler (optional). And of course, snacks are always welcome!
